Calvin Williams works at the intersection of theology, leadership, and investment management. He earned his PhD from the University of Aberdeen and teaches theology at the University of St. Thomas, bringing rigorous scholarship into conversation with the practical demands of work, decision-making, and organizational life.
He is the owner and Chief Investment Officer of Bristol Oak, an NFA-registered investment firm. As a licensed Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), Calvin invests and manages capital for high-net-worth individuals and institutions with an emphasis on discipline, clarity, and long-term compounding.
Before founding Bristol Oak, Calvin served on multiple executive teams and as a director in both business and large nonprofit organizations, including a church of more than 4,000 people. He has led teams, helped guide complex organizations, and regularly spoken to audiences of thousands.
The ideas behind Complexity Compounds grew from these varied arenas: the classroom, the executive table, the stage, and the investment portfolio. Across each one, Calvin has seen the same principle at work — meaningful progress often comes not from adding more, but from removing what distracts so that what matters can compound.
Outside of work, Calvin writes, records, and produces music. He spends as much time as he can with his wife and children and returns regularly to the United Kingdom.
